News has come to light of a spin-off, web-based series of Torchwood called ‘Web Of Lies’. The news was broken through a tweet by Torchwood: Miracle Day writer Jane Espenson (also acclaimed writer of US series Buffy, Battlestar Galactica and Caprica), who also strongly hinted that American actress Eliza Dushku would star, as she said:
@JaneEspenson – Jane Espenson
There is going to be Torchwood web content. So in addition to #TorchwoodMiracleDay there is #TorchwoodWebOfLies . Enjoy all the TW brands!
Then later added…
We have faith in Torchwood: Web of Lies. #hint
And then…
It’s tru; there’s an echo of my past work in #Torchwood: Web of Lies. (I know you already solved my little puzzle, but this is fun.)
For those who aren’t aware, in Buffy The Vampire Slayer the character of Faith was played by Eliza Dushku. Buffy could be described of course as “an echo of [Espenson’s] past work”, while Echo was the name of Dushku's character in Dollhouse.
Unfortunately, nothing other than this is known about Torchwood ‘Web Of Lies’, though I think Miss Dushku can be pretty much assumed as correct given that the clues are so obvious, especially to Buffy fans like myself.

What do you think of this? Looking forward to it?
Please comment.
The 'echo' comment could also relate to Eliza playing the character Echo in Dollhouse
