Murray Scores A Miracle!

articleimage_446
The official BBC Torchwood Twitter feed account announced today that Murray Gold will compose the soundtrack for Torchwood: Miracle Day.

This was revealed earlier tonight on the Twitter feed, with this message:
http://twitter.com/#!/BBC_Torchwood/status/53557565338038272

However, there is no confirmation of Mr Gold working once again with his pal Ben Foster, who composed all of previous series of Torchwood, which BBC Torchwood stated in this tweet:
http://twitter.com/#!/BBC_Torchwood/status/53558861487013888

Very good news in my opinion! Murray has certainly proved with his scoring of Series Five and ‘A Christmas Carol’ that he can still produce original, imaginative and brilliant pieces of music.
Murray was also the person to compose the Torchwood theme (used in the intro for Series One and Two and credits for ‘Children Of Earth’), which could mean the music might still retain that unique Torchwood feeling.

Doctor Who: ‘Power Of The Heart’ – Story Titles 1 & 2

logo_PowerOfTheHeart
The upcoming fan-fiction of Doctor Who – with the series title of ‘Power Of The Heart’ – being written and produced by me and Emma Lousie (owner of Tardis Console News) is coming closer to it’s debut release. The series will consist of 12 parts of 4 stories (2 two-part stories and 2 four-part stories). We can reveal the titles of the first two stories of Doctor Who: Power Of The Heart

1.1 – ‘The Heart’
- two-parter
1.2 – ‘The Voyage To Nowhere’
- four-parter
1.3 – (TBC)
- (TBC)
1.4 – (TBC)
- (TBC)

Hopefully this is whetting your appetite for our first fan-fiction series. Trust me, it isn’t any old, regular fanfic – we’re intentionally avoiding that fatal mistake.

With any luck, you guys will find it as interesting and fun and enjoyable as we are doing writing and producing it, and hopefully you’ll feel drawn back for further parts to discover more about the overarching story arc plot of the series that will gradually unfold as the series progresses, and it begins from the very first scene!

Neil Gaiman Series 6 Title

articleimage_444
The title of the much-anticipated episode of Series Six written by Neil Gaiman, which is Episode 4 of the new series, has now been revealed! This is the episode that stars Suranne Jones as a character called Idris and was originally meant to be part of Series Five, but was set back until Series Six due to budgetary constraints. Idris has been described by Gaiman as “an old friend with a new face” and by producer Marcus Wilson as “a new take on a familiar character”, so presumably not a character us viewers have never met before.

For the spoiler-phobes out there (hopefully you got the message from the warning above, but just in case your eyes wander by accident, highlight the text in the box below to find out the title (yes, VERY spoilery!)…

The title of Series 6 Episode 4 is...
'The Doctor's Wife'!!

It was going to happen sometime or other. The title is certainly very revealing. Or is it? This is Steven Moffat ruling the show now, after all, and an episode being written by Neil Gaiman, so surely all is not as it seems?
Can’t wait to find out…

What do you think of this? Got any theories about what it could be about?

James Corden on Series 6 Return

articleimage_436
After the BBC’s official confirmation of his return in the latter half of Series 6, James Corden has spoken of his come-back as Craig Owens to AOL TV.
"I can't wait to go back. I finish here [on his current Sky 1 show] on Wednesday and go straight to Cardiff on Thursday morning to start filming."
He went on to say, “I'm amazed and over the moon Steven (Moffat, Doctor Who boss) asked me back. There was a fans' poll of the last series, and the episode, The Lodger, did really well. I'm just going back for the one episode."
When asked whether his character would, this time round, get a trip in the TARDIS, Corden replied, "I could well be, I can't possibly say."
