The BAFTA Television Awards took place in London last Sunday (26th April) and our favourite programme, Doctor Who, was nominated in the Best Drama category. However, it unfortunately lost out to BBC One's Wallander (I mean, what were they thinking?).On the bright side, Jane Tranter, Controller of BBC Drama and the women who commissioned Doctor Who's return in 2005, won the BAFTA Special Award. Jane has contrubuted to a huge variety of BBC shows, and has also worked with David Tennant (who presented the Special Award) on Casanova in 2005.
