The BBC have announced some more people who will be starring in 'Planet of the Dead' this easter. Michelle Ryan has been spotted a few days ago on a London bus with David Tennant and the Beeb said this:

Christina joins the Doctor on a bus-trip which takes a very unexpected detour into danger"

"'I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who and very excited to be joining David Tennant and the Doctor Who team," said Michelle. "It is such a fantastic show and I can't wait to get started!'"

Lee Evans, who is well-known for his stand-up comedy and professional acting, will also be in the first 2009 Special, he plays a character called Malcolm who is a Professor.
"One of Britain's best loved and biggest comedy stars, Lee Evans, will also be joining the cast playing a character called Malcolm, whose life becomes connected to the Doctor's under extraordinary circumstances."

Also returning is Noma Dumezweni, who played the part of Captain Erisa Magamboin Turn Left (helping Rose and Donna with their time machine at U.N.I.T.).

Also, it has recently been confirmed that Doctor Who will be filming one 2009 special in Dubai and another in the US. Although it isn't yet known whether Planet of the Dead will be one of them.
