The hit BBC Three drama Being Human returns tonight in what you could describe as a new era in the show’s short history. You would probably have guessed from the promotional photos – had you not seen the news already – that Russell Tovey as George leaves this series, along with Sinead Keenan as Nina (though Keenan as confirmed on Twitter that she has not actually filmed anything for the fourth series), but how or why remains a mystery.
Stepping in as George and the late John Mitchell’s replacements are Tom McNair (Michael Socha) and abstaining Old One vampire Hal (Damien Molony).
Being Human – Series 4 Episode 1: ‘Eve of the War’ airs in the United Kingdom TONIGHT on BBC Three at 9PM.
In an old B&B in a sleepy seaside town, there lives a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost determined to live a quiet, human life. But lurking in every corner of society there are vampires ready to rid the world of its humanity. The Old Ones are on their way and it's up to our heroes to fight for the right to live in peace.
It's not easy protecting a newborn child from marauding vampires when you're a ghost and a couple of werewolves, but this is what our heroes must do - whatever the cost.
What are your thoughts on the new series?
